The Administrative Office (AO) of the United States Courts is upgrading the Judiciary Integrated Financial Management System (JIFMS) in June 2025. While only certain Court employees have access to JIFMS, the downtime may affect others inside and outside of the Judiciary. JIFMS will be completely unavailable from June 11, 2025, through June 26, 2025, for system conversion activities, but to assist with preparation and sequence of operations before and after the downtime, certain systems will be impacted outside of the downtime dates:
- Court units will be unable to process the necessary transactions in JIFMS to support the deposit and withdrawal of funds from the Court Registry Investment System (CRIS). This will preclude registry funds collected during the system downtime from being invested in CRIS from June 6, 2025, through July 1, 2025, impacting interest earned. This is a necessary impact of the system downtime that cannot be avoided. CRIS deposits may resume on July 2, 2025.
- Court units will be unable to disburse Unclaimed Funds from June 6, 2025, through July 1, 2025. Applications for Disbursement of Unclaimed Funds will still be accepted and processed during this time, but disbursements will not resume until July 2, 2025.
